I'm Payton Russell!
I'm an imaginative filmmaker and sports enthusiast from Maryville, TN, with a B.F.A. in Film Production and an Animation minor from Lipscomb University and a Master's degree in Sports Management at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, focusing on Sports Marketing and Fan Engagement.I currently work on home games for The University of Tennessee's Premium Hospitality team. I'm also currently an Athletics Communications intern for Maryville College Athletics. I also work as a seasonal member of the press box staff for the Knoxville Smokies baseball team (The Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs), helping with broadcasting and entertainment. I'm always eager to contribute and grow my skills in sports marketing, fan engagement, storytelling, graphic design, animation, editing, and detail orientation.I was a game operations intern for the Knoxville Ice Bears to help me grow in fan engagement. I have experience with sports broadcasting and production for ESPN streaming as an operations intern for Lipscomb Bisons Athletics. I've also helped on plenty of sets for films, from camera operation, editing, and boom operation to D.I.T. work. I'm also trying to start and grow a video business called "Southern Mist Productions."
